Dark mode and theme settings

Enable dark mode on web and mobile, save your preference, and what it changes.

Bontro supports Light, Dark, and System (follows your device) themes on both the web dashboard and the mobile app. Your preference syncs across devices.

On the web dashboard:

1. Click the theme toggle in the top bar of your dashboard (sun/moon icon) 2. Choose Light, Dark, or System 3. The theme applies immediately 4. Your preference is saved to your account and persists across browsers and devices

The System option follows your operating system's dark/light preference, so the dashboard automatically switches when your OS switches.

On the mobile app:

1. Open the app and go to the Settings tab 2. Scroll to the Appearance section 3. Tap Light, Dark, or System 4. The theme applies immediately

The mobile app also supports System mode, which follows your iPhone or Android's dark/light setting.

What dark mode changes: - Background colors shift from white to dark navy - Card backgrounds become dark slate instead of white - Text stays readable with adjusted contrast - Accent colors (blue, green, red) remain the same -- they work equally well in both themes - All modals, dropdowns, and forms adapt

What stays the same in dark mode: - Your brand color on your public booking page is separate from your dashboard theme -- client-facing pages are not affected - Your data, bookings, and settings are unchanged - Images and logos display the same

Pro tip: The System option is usually the best choice. Your dashboard will match whatever mode your device is in, so it feels natural whether you are checking bookings in the morning or late at night.
