Pay to pin your business above organic results in the Bontro marketplace.
Sponsored listings put your business at the top of Bontro search results for a fixed period. Clients searching in your area will see you first. Requires a Growth or Business plan.
Three placement options:
Spotlight ($29 / 30 days) - Pinned to the top of your specific service category in your city (e.g., "Barbers in Austin") - Up to 5 Spotlight slots are available per city per category - Each time a client searches, 3 of the active 5 Spotlight holders are randomly shown. Every slot gets fair, equal rotation over time. - Amber "Sponsored" badge on your listing card - Best for: specialists who want visibility in their specific niche (barbers, nail salons, massage therapists, personal trainers, etc.)
Featured ($79 / 30 days) - Appears across all search categories within 50 miles of your city, not just your niche - When a client searches "barber," "massage," or "cleaning service," your listing appears at the top regardless of the category - Available slots vary by city size: - Small market (under 200k pop): 1 slot at $79 - Mid market (200k–500k pop): up to 2 slots (Slot 1: $79, Slot 2: $59) - Large market (500k+ pop): up to 3 slots (Slot 1: $79, Slot 2: $59, Slot 3: $49) - Slots are filled in order. Slot 2 only becomes available once Slot 1 is sold. - Violet "Featured" badge on your listing card - Best for: high-ticket services or pros who want cross-category visibility (photographers, tutors, consultants, auto detailers)
Boost ($15 / 7 days) - Highlights your existing organic listing without requiring a top slot - Available any time, no slot limits - Great for testing paid visibility before committing to Spotlight or Featured
How to purchase: 1. Go to Dashboard -> Promotions 2. Choose Spotlight, Featured, or Boost 3. Select your city, state, and (for Spotlight) your category 4. Complete checkout via Stripe 5. Your placement activates as soon as payment clears
Queue system: If all Featured slots in your city are taken, you can still purchase and join the queue. Your sponsorship activates automatically when a slot opens. No action needed on your part.
How placement works: - Featured listings appear above all Spotlight listings - Spotlight listings appear above organic results - Within Spotlight, 3 of the active 5 holders are shown randomly per search. Fair rotation, no seniority advantage. - Clients can see which listings are sponsored via the badge. Full transparency.
Sponsorships are one-time payments. There is no auto-renewal. When your period ends, your listing returns to its organic position. You can repurchase at any time.
Tracking performance: Dashboard -> Promotions shows times your listing was seen (impressions), clicks, click rate, and bookings that came from your promotion.
Note: Sponsored placement is a paid promotion. It does not affect your star rating, review count, or any other organic ranking factor.
