Enterprise Walk-in Kiosk
Set up a shared kiosk for your whole shop — with location filtering and multi-pro check-in.
Enterprise orgs get a dedicated kiosk URL at bontro.co/kiosk/[your-org-slug] — a public, PIN-protected screen designed for a tablet at the front desk of your shop. Clients can check themselves in, or your receptionist can add walk-ins across your whole team.
How it's different from the Business kiosk: The Business kiosk is tied to a single pro's dashboard and requires them to be logged in. The Enterprise kiosk is a fully public URL — no Bontro login needed. Your PIN is the only lock. Staff can open it on any tablet, any browser, without signing into any account.
---
Setting up the org kiosk PIN: 1. Go to Dashboard → Organization → Settings tab 2. Scroll to Walk-in Kiosk PIN 3. Enter a 4–8 digit PIN and confirm it 4. Click Set PIN
The kiosk is now live at bontro.co/kiosk/[your-org-slug]. Share that URL with your front desk, or bookmark it on your tablet.
---
Location filtering: If your org has multiple locations, a location dropdown appears in the top bar of the kiosk. Select a location to: - Show only the pros assigned to that location in the booking form - Filter the live queue to show only that location's appointments
---
Staff mode: Receptionist view. They select: - Which pro the client is booking with - Which service - Client's name and phone - Optional: specific staff member within that pro's team (if the pro has a team)
Client check-in mode: Toggle to Client mode. The client picks their own pro, service, and enters their name and phone. Hits Join Queue and they're added.
---
Live queue: The right side of the kiosk shows today's appointments across all pros in the org (or filtered by location), ordered by time. It auto-refreshes every 10 seconds.
Push notifications: When a walk-in is added and assigned to a specific pro, that pro receives a push notification on the Bontro mobile app immediately.
---
Consent forms on the kiosk: If a pro has consent forms enabled, the client check-in flow will include the consent form inline after they select their service — so they can sign digitally on the tablet before their appointment starts. Signed forms appear in the pro's Consent Forms dashboard and in the org's Consent Form Hub.
Security notes: - The PIN is bcrypt-hashed and never stored in plaintext - Kiosk sessions expire after 24 hours — staff re-enter the PIN daily - The "Lock" button in the kiosk top bar immediately locks the screen - No Bontro account data is accessible from the kiosk screen
