Offering add-ons on a service
Let clients tack on optional paid extras when they book.
Add-ons are optional extras a client can add to a service at booking — a deep conditioning treatment, an extra 15 minutes, a rush option. Each add-on has its own price and (optionally) extra time.
How to add them
1. Go to Dashboard → Services and edit an existing service (add-ons attach to a saved service). 2. Open the Add-ons tab in the service editor. 3. Enter a name, a price, and optional extra minutes, then click Add. Repeat for each add-on. 4. Toggle the check to hide an add-on without deleting it; use the trash icon to remove one.
What clients see
On your booking page, when they pick that service they'll see the add-ons as optional checkboxes with the price and extra time. Choosing one updates the total and the appointment length automatically — so your calendar stays accurate and you never get double-booked.
How the money works
- The add-on price is added to the service total. - If the service takes a deposit, the deposit stays the same — the add-on cost is added to the balance you collect at the appointment. - If the service is pay-in-full at booking, the add-on is charged upfront with the rest. - Add-ons are included when a discount code is applied.
Good to know: add-ons are available for appointment-style services booked one at a time (not order-type services, group classes booked with other services, or recurring series). Bontro still takes 0% — add-on money lands in your account like everything else.
