Help/Account & Security/Deleting your account

Deleting your account

What happens when you delete your Bontro account, and what data is kept vs. removed.

You can permanently delete your Bontro account at any time from Dashboard → Settings, under the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.

How to delete your account

1. Go to Dashboard → Settings and scroll to the Danger Zone. 2. Click Delete My Account. 3. Type DELETE in the confirmation box to confirm. 4. Click Delete My Account again to finish. You'll be signed out immediately.

What gets deleted right away

- Your business profile, booking page, logo, and photos - Your personal profile information and photo - Any active subscription (cancelled automatically) - Linked Google/Apple sign-in connections

What gets anonymized and retained

Rather than erasing everything (which would break financial and legal records), Bontro anonymizes certain records instead of deleting them outright:

- Payment and transaction records -- retained for 7 years, as required by tax and accounting law - Booking records -- kept for the historical record, but your name/email/phone are scrubbed - Consent form submissions -- retained for 3 years; sensitive fields (date of birth, allergies, medical conditions, signature) are wiped - SMS opt-out records -- retained permanently, as required by TCPA

Can I undo this?

No. Account deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed. If you're unsure, consider just pausing your account or contacting support@bontro.co to talk through alternatives first.
