Managing client reviews
View, respond to, and report reviews.
Reviews help new clients trust you. Here's how they work:
Collecting reviews: About 2 hours after a completed appointment, clients receive an email asking them to leave a review. They can also review from their My Bookings page. Reviews include a 1-5 star rating and optional comment.
Viewing reviews: Go to Dashboard → Reviews to see all reviews with star rating, comment, and date.
Also collect Google reviews: In Dashboard → Reviews, paste your Google Business review link. After a client leaves you a review here, they'll see an optional prompt to share it on Google too — we copy their written text so they can paste it, but they choose their own star rating and post it themselves. This appears after every review regardless of rating, there's no incentive, and Google reviews can't be auto-submitted or have a rating transferred from Bontro. Leave the link blank to turn the prompt off.
Responding: Growth and Business plans can respond publicly. Click a review to write a response. It shows on your booking page below the review. Responses are visible to all potential clients.
Reporting a review for removal: Growth and Business owners can report a review that violates Bontro policy (fake, from a competitor, harassment, private info). You cannot hide or delete reviews yourself; you submit the review with a reason and the Bontro team reviews it. If it violates policy, we remove it; if not, it stays visible. Reviews are not removed simply for being negative.
Your rating: Your overall rating is the average of all visible reviews and appears on your booking page header and in the Bontro directory.
