Adding manual and walk-in appointments

How to create appointments directly from your dashboard without clients going through the booking flow.

Sometimes a client calls, walks in, or you need to block time on your calendar. The + New Appointment button in your Appointments page lets you do this without sending the client to your booking link.

Who can use this: Manual appointment creation is available on Business and Enterprise plans only. If you're on Starter or Growth, you'll see an upgrade prompt.

How to add a manual appointment: 1. Go to Dashboard → Appointments 2. Click + New Appointment in the top-right corner 3. Fill in: - Service — what the client is coming in for - Date and start time — defaults to today and 9:00 AM; adjust as needed - Client name — required; you can use "Walk-in" for anonymous clients - Phone / email — optional but useful for follow-up - Assign to — owners and managers can assign to any staff member; individual pros default to themselves - Internal notes — visible only to you and your team

4. Click Add Appointment

The appointment is immediately added as Confirmed with a payment status of Unpaid. It shows up in the Appointments list and calendar view instantly.

Walk-ins with no contact info: Client name is the only required field. If you don't have a phone number or email, leave those blank — Bontro will create a placeholder record so the appointment saves correctly.

What happens to the assigned pro: If the appointment is assigned to a specific staff member, they'll receive a push notification on their mobile app: "New walk-in added — [Client Name] · [Service] at [Time]."
