Help/Getting Started/Setting up your business profile

Setting up your business profile

Add your bio, cover photo, gallery, social links, and location.

Your profile is everything clients see before they book. A complete profile builds trust and gets more bookings.

Fastest start: set up with AI When your account is new and you have no services yet, the Services page shows a "Set up with AI" card. Tap it and Bontro suggests a starter service menu for your trade, priced for your local area, plus a first draft of your bio. Nothing is saved until you review it, so edit the names, prices, and durations, then add them in one tap. It is a starting point, not the finish line, so make it yours.

Step 1: Business name and category Go to Settings -> Business. Your business name appears at the top of your booking page. Choose the category that best describes your services. This affects how you appear in the search directory.

Step 2: Bio / About section Write a short paragraph introducing yourself and your work. 2-4 sentences is plenty. Mention your experience, specialties, or what makes your approach unique. This shows above your service list on your booking page.

Step 3: Location Add your city and state (you don't need a full street address if you're mobile or work from home). Location lets you appear in map-based search results.

Step 4: Time zone Set your time zone in Settings -> Profile. This ensures appointment times display correctly for both you and your clients.

Step 5: Cover photo Upload a banner image (wide format works best) in Settings -> Branding. Use a photo of your work, your space, or a clean branded image.

Step 6: Gallery Add portfolio photos in Settings -> Branding -> Gallery. These appear in a grid on your booking page. Show your best work. This is your visual resume.

Step 7: Social links Add your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and website in Settings -> Branding. These appear as icon buttons on your booking page and give clients another way to learn about you.

Pro tip: Profiles with a logo, cover photo, and at least 4 gallery images get significantly more bookings from the directory than profiles without them.
