Help/Getting Started/Getting your first booking

Getting your first booking

Create a service, set your hours, share your link, and get booked.

Getting your first booking takes about 10 minutes of setup. Here is the quickest path:

Step 1: Add a service Go to Dashboard -> Services -> Add Service. Fill in the name, price, and duration. That is all you need to start -- you can add more detail later.

Step 2: Set your availability Go to Dashboard -> Availability. Turn on the days you work and set your start/end times. Bontro automatically generates bookable time slots in 15-minute increments.

Step 3: Share your link Your booking link is at bontro.co/book/your-slug. Copy it from the dashboard overview or Settings. Add it to your Instagram bio right now -- that is usually the fastest path to your first booking.

What happens when someone books: 1. Client visits your booking page 2. They pick a service, choose a date and time, and enter their name, email, and phone 3. If the service requires a deposit or upfront payment, they pay via Stripe at this step 4. You receive an email notification: "New booking from [Client Name]" 5. The booking appears in your dashboard as "Pending" 6. You can confirm it to move it to "Confirmed" status -- or it stays pending until the appointment

Auto-confirm vs manual confirm: By default, bookings are pending until you confirm them. This gives you control but requires action on your part. Many pros prefer to simply confirm every booking as it comes in. There is no setting to auto-confirm yet -- this is on the roadmap.

Pro tip: After your first booking, ask that client to leave a review. A single 5-star review makes a noticeable difference to new clients visiting your booking page.
