Switching to Bontro from another platform
Bring your clients and services over from Booksy, Vagaro, Square, and more.
Moving to Bontro is meant to be painless. We help you bring over your clients and rebuild your services so you don't start from scratch.
Fastest: import your menu
Already list your services somewhere? Bontro can turn them into your service menu in seconds.
1. In your dashboard, open Switch to Bontro. 2. Paste your services as text (your Instagram bio, an old price list, for example "Fades $35 · Beard trim $20"), or tap Upload a screenshot and pick a screenshot of your Instagram profile or old booking page. 3. AI reads your services. Review the suggestions — edit names, prices, and durations, and uncheck anything you don't offer. 4. Tap Add services and they're created on your account.
You review everything before it saves. If AI can't read a menu from what you gave it, just paste your prices as text or add your services on the Services page.
Import from your Acuity or GlossGenius link
Coming from Acuity or GlossGenius? Paste your booking link and Bontro reads your service menu straight from it.
1. On Switch to Bontro, paste your Acuity link (yourname.as.me or acuityscheduling.com) or your GlossGenius link. 2. We read the page and suggest your services. 3. Review, edit prices and durations, and add the ones you want.
Some of these pages load their menu after the page opens, so we cannot always read it. If that happens, use the client CSV import or add your services by hand.
Import your client list (CSV)
Bring your clients over from Booksy, Vagaro, Square, GlossGenius, or a spreadsheet.
1. Export your client list from your old platform as a CSV. 2. On Switch to Bontro, upload the CSV under "Bring your client list." 3. We show a preview — how many are new, how many are already in your CRM, and how many rows we skipped. 4. Confirm, and your clients appear in your client list right away.
Your CSV needs a header row with an Email column (we also read Name and Phone if present). Rows without an email are skipped. Importing a client does not sign them up for text messages — Bontro never sends SMS to imported clients.
How to request a migration
1. In your dashboard, open Switch to Bontro (in the sidebar). 2. Choose the platform you're coming from (Booksy, Vagaro, GlossGenius, StyleSeat, Square, Acuity, Fresha, a spreadsheet, or something else). 3. Optionally upload your export — a client list, service menu, or anything you were able to download from your old tool (CSV, XLSX, or PDF, up to 10MB each). 4. Leave the white-glove box checked if you'd like our team to import your clients and rebuild your services with you. 5. Submit — our team is alerted right away and will reach out to help.
What we help with
- Clients: send us your export and we'll get your client list into Bontro. - Services: we'll help recreate your service menu — names, durations, pricing, deposits, and order types. - Availability & branding: you set your hours, logo, colors, and portfolio (these take just a few minutes). - Inviting your clients: share your new booking link. Returning clients who enter a known phone number are guided to their account automatically.
Good to know
- You can keep your current tool running until your Bontro page is ready. - Migration help is best-efforts and may involve some manual steps — how much we can bring over depends on what your old platform lets you export. - There's no fee to switch, and Bontro never charges you to export your own data later.
