## How the referral program works

Bontro's referral program is simple: share your unique referral link with other service professionals. When someone signs up using your link and subscribes to a paid Bontro plan (Growth or Business), you automatically receive 30 days added to your subscription -- no codes to enter, no forms to fill out.

## Finding your referral link

1. Go to Dashboard > Settings 2. Click the Refer & Earn tab 3. Copy your unique referral link (it looks like bontro.co/ref/your-code)

Your link is permanent and unique to your account.

## Sharing your link

There is no right or wrong way to share it. A few ideas that work well:

- Instagram: Post your booking page and mention you use Bontro. Drop your referral link in your bio or story link. - Direct message: If a fellow barber, trainer, photographer, or other pro asks how you manage bookings, send them your link. - In person: Tell clients or colleagues about Bontro and share the link over text.

The referral panel in Settings includes a pre-written Instagram caption you can copy and paste.

## What counts as a qualifying referral

A referral qualifies when both of these are true:

1. The person signed up using your referral link (within 30 days of clicking it) 2. They subscribed to a Growth ($19/mo) or Business ($49/mo) plan

Sign-ups that stay on the free Starter plan do not trigger a reward.

## How your reward is applied

Once a referral qualifies, 30 days are automatically added to your account:

- If you are on a paid plan, the 30 days stack on top of your current subscription end date - If you are on the free Starter plan, the free days are banked and applied when you upgrade

You will receive an email confirmation showing your new subscription expiry date.

## How many referrals can I make?

There is no limit. Every qualifying referral earns you another free month. If you refer 12 people in a year who all subscribe, that is a full year free.

## Checking your referral stats

The Refer & Earn tab in Settings shows:

- Free months earned: How many rewards have been applied to your account - Pending referrals: People who signed up with your link but have not yet subscribed to a paid plan

## Frequently asked questions

Does the person I refer need to use my link when they sign up? Yes. They need to click your link before creating their account. The link sets a 30-day cookie, so as long as they sign up within 30 days of clicking, they are attributed to you.

What if someone already has a Bontro account? Referrals only apply to new accounts. If someone already has an account, your link will not grant a reward.

Is there a limit on how many months I can earn? No. Referral rewards stack without limit.

Can I refer myself? No. You cannot refer your own account.
