Email notification settings

Which emails clients receive, and how to toggle each channel.

Bontro sends email notifications automatically for key events. You can control which ones are active in Settings -> Notifications.

Emails sent to clients:

Emails sent to you: - New booking notification (with client details) - Booking cancellation by client - Reschedule accepted or declined

How to toggle notifications: Go to Settings -> Notifications. Toggle any channel on or off. Changes save immediately.

Cancel links in every email: Every confirmation and reminder email includes a direct cancellation link so clients can cancel without logging in. The link expires after 7 days.

Email display name (Business plan): Set a custom display name so your business name appears as the sender on all client emails (e.g., "Ray's Barbershop" instead of "Bontro"). Go to Settings → Notifications → Email display name.

Test your notifications: Use the "Send test" button next to the email status to fire a real test email to your address. For SMS, enter your phone number in the test field at the bottom of the SMS card.

Tip: Leaving the 24-hour reminder on is strongly recommended. It is the single most effective tool for reducing no-shows. Clients who receive a reminder show up at significantly higher rates.
