SMS notifications and quota
Quota by plan, TCPA opt-in, what texts are sent, and buying more.
SMS text reminders reach clients where email often doesn't. Available on Growth and Business plans.
Monthly SMS quota: - Starter: 0 SMS - Growth: 50 SMS/month - Business: 300 SMS/month
Quotas reset on the 1st of each calendar month.
What SMS is sent: - Booking confirmation (to client right after booking) - 24-hour reminder (day before) - 2-hour reminder (2 hours before) - Cancellation notice - New booking alert (to you)
SMS is only sent when the client provides a phone number AND opts in during booking. TCPA compliance is built in -- clients see an opt-in checkbox on the booking form.
Running out of SMS:
Option 1 -- SMS Pack: Buy 100 extra messages for $2.50 in Settings -> Notifications. Pack credits carry over month to month and are used after your monthly quota runs out.
Option 2 -- Overage: Enable "Auto-charge overage" in Settings -> Notifications. After your quota is exhausted, additional texts are charged at $0.03/SMS automatically.
Branded SMS (Business plan): With Branded Sender enabled, your business name is prepended to all outgoing texts: "RayBlendz: Your appointment is tomorrow at 2 PM at 123 Main St. Reply STOP to opt out."
Tracking usage: Settings -> Notifications shows a usage bar and exact count (e.g., "34 / 50 SMS used this month").
