Sending a broadcast email to your client list
Blast an email to all your clients at once — announcements, promos, policy updates.
The Broadcast tool lets you send a one-time email to every client who has ever booked with you. Useful for announcements, new service launches, schedule changes, or a simple "we miss you" campaign. Available on Growth and Business plans.
How to send a broadcast: 1. Go to Dashboard → Broadcast 2. Write your Subject line 3. Write your message body (plain text; Bontro wraps it in a clean branded HTML email template) 4. Preview the email on the right side of the screen to see exactly what clients will receive 5. Check the "I understand this will be sent to all my clients" confirmation checkbox 6. Click Send Broadcast
The email is batched in groups of 50 and sent to every distinct client email in your client list. It uses your business name as the sender display name.
How many clients will receive it: The header shows your client count — the number of unique email addresses in your client list. This updates automatically as new clients book.
Sender name: Emails go out from notifications@bontro.co. On the Business plan, if you have a custom email display name set (Settings → Notifications → Email display name), your business name appears as the sender instead.
What to use it for: - Announcing a price change or new service - Holiday availability notice (e.g., "We're closed December 24–25") - Promotional offer: "Book by Friday for 20% off your next visit" - Reopening after time off
What NOT to use it for: Broadcast is one-to-all. It is not for individual client follow-ups. Use the payment request tool or appointment notes for those.
Frequency: There is no hard limit on how often you can broadcast, but sending more than once per week to your full client list can increase unsubscribes. Once or twice a month for meaningful updates is a good rule.
Starter plan: Starter users see an upgrade prompt on the Broadcast page. Upgrade to Growth or Business to unlock this feature.
