Logging cash and manual payments
Record cash, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, and other in-person payments.
Not every payment goes through Stripe. Bontro lets you log manual payments so your revenue records stay complete.
Supported payment methods: - Cash - Venmo - Zelle - CashApp - Other (write-in)
How to log a manual payment: 1. Go to Dashboard -> Payments 2. Click "Log Payment" (top right) 3. Select the payment method 4. Enter the amount 5. Optionally link it to a specific appointment 6. Click Save
The payment appears in your payments history with the correct method tag.
Linking to a booking: When you link a manual payment to a booking, the booking's payment status automatically updates to "Paid." This keeps your appointments dashboard accurate.
Revenue tracking: Your Payments dashboard shows total revenue broken down by method (Stripe card, cash, Venmo, etc.) and by time period (week, month, year). Manual payments are included in these totals so you get a true picture of your income.
Pro tip: Make it a habit to log cash payments at the end of each day. It only takes 30 seconds and keeps your revenue numbers accurate over time -- useful at tax time and for your own business tracking.
