Payout modes: per-staff, centralized, and auto-split
Choose where money lands when a multi-staff shop gets paid.
If your shop has multiple staff, you choose how collected money is routed under Team → Payout mode (owner only, on web or in the app). Bontro never takes a cut in any mode — money lands 100% in your account(s).
Per staff (default): Each payment goes to the connected Stripe account of the staff member who performed the service. If a staff member hasn't finished Stripe onboarding, that payment falls back to the owner's account until they do. Best for booth renters and independent contractors who each have their own Stripe account.
Centralized: All payments go to the business (owner) account. You pay your staff outside Bontro — for example, through payroll. Best for shops with W-2 employees.
Auto-split: The business account collects the payment, then each staff member's commission is automatically transferred to their connected account based on their compensation profile (Team → the staff member → Pay & commission). Best for commission salons that keep 1099 contractors but want automatic payouts.
Switching modes only affects future payments. Refunds are issued against the account the original charge was collected on, so avoid switching modes with unresolved refunds outstanding.
